Paris Saint-Germain Football Club, one of the first French football clubs in a European championship final, has outgrown its current stadium. The Qatari owners of PSG want to expand the venue. The 47,000-capacity stadium named Parc des Princes often falls short of the huge demand for tickets. The club proposed to expand the capacity of the Parc des Princes to 60,000 with special focus given to boosting luxury boxes. The plans to move PSG to the 80,000-capacity Stade de France failed. The Stade de France became the largest French stadium by capacity.
