Extra stadium info – Rice-Eccles Stadium

The stadium was the main venue for the Olympic Winter Games in 2002. It was the home of football club Real Salt Lake between 2005 and 2008. In 2006, the venue hosted a friendly between Real Salt Lake and the world famous Spanish club Real Madrid, with 45,000 people in attendance. It became the first capacity crowd for Real Salt Lake at the Rice-Eccles Stadium.
