The Historic Crew Stadium is also known as a venue for American football, concerts, field lacrosse and rugby union. The national football team of the United States played their first match at the stadium on 11 October 2000. The Columbus Crew played numerous home games at the stadium. In 2021, the football club moved to a new home venue.
