The stadium is nicknamed The House That Rockne Built. It opened with a match of the American football team of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. They represent the University of Notre Dame. The Notre Dame Fighting Irish won the stadium’s inaugural game. On 20 October 2018, the Notre Dame Stadium hosted its first-ever concert. 84,000 people attended the concert of the country singer and songwriter Troyal Garth Brooks. He was born in Oklahoma in 1962.
