The Camping World Stadium is among the main sports venues in Florida. In 1994, the venue hosted FIFA World Cup matches of the national football teams of Belgium, Ireland, Morocco, the Netherlands and the United Mexican States. The first FIFA World Cup match at the Camping World Stadium took place on 19 June 1994. The national football team of Belgium won the match against Morocco 1-0. 61,000 people attended the game. The United Mexican States won the second FIFA World Cup game at the Camping World Stadium after beating Ireland 2-1. The national football team of Belgium also won their second match at the venue. The Netherlands won the last two 1994 FIFA World Cup games at the Camping World Stadium.
Real Madrid and Juventus
On 2 August 2023, the Camping World Stadium hosted its first match which included Real Madrid, the first sports club in the world with 100 million followers on its main social media page. A crowd of 63,000 showed up for the game between the Spanish football giants and Juventus Football Club. The world-famous Italian side Juventus won the match. Real Madrid won their first-ever world championship title in 1960 after beating Peñarol from Uruguay. Juventus won their first-ever world championship title in 1985 after defeating the Argentinos Juniors from the Argentine Republic.
Orlando City SC
On 8 March 2015, it hosted the first-ever Major League Soccer game of Orlando City SC, the first football club from Florida with 100,000 followers on its main social media page. They drew 1-1 against New York City FC in front of 62,000 fans. Orlando City Soccer Club became the first football club from Florida with a value of at least $100 million. In 2015, they drew an average home attendance of 32,000 in their first-ever Major League Soccer season.
