In 2014, the stadium hosted Landon Timothy Donovan’s last game for the national football team of the United States. He became one of the first football players from North America with 1 million followers on his main social media page. Donovan started his professional football career with the German side Bayer Leverkusen. He also played professional football for the San Jose Earthquakes, the LA Galaxy, FC Bayern München, Everton FC and Club León.
