The stadium is also known as a venue for football matches. The Jamaica Tallawahs use the venue named Sabina Park for home games. They won the CPL in 2013. It was the inaugural edition of the Caribbean cricket league. In 2016, the Jamaica Tallawahs won their second CPL title.
