The venue is also known as the Estadio La Pedrera. World famous bands performed at the stadium. Metallica is among those bands. The heavy metal band was formed in 1981 in Los Angeles by James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich. Hetfield and Ulrich both performed at the Estadio Cementos Progreso in 2016.
