On 3 February 1900, the stadium hosted its first match of the national football team of Scotland. Aberdeen Football Club are the tenants of the venue. In 1955, they won the Scottish top-flight football league for the first time in their history. Aberdeen FC gathered 49 points in 30 matches in that domestic league season.
