George Reynolds
The Darlington Arena opened as the Reynolds Arena. It was named after George Reynolds. He was the owner of Darlington FC before he was found guilty of tax evasion in 2005. Reynolds became the owner of Darlington FC in 1999. He wanted to take Darlington Football Club into the Premier League, the world famous English top-flight football league. Darlington FC never reached the Premier League under the ownership of George Reynolds.
