In 1986, the world famous British rock band Queen performed at the stadium. Rayo Vallecano use the venue for home games. The football club was founded in 1924. They were promoted to the Spanish top-flight football league various times. Radamel Falcao García Zárate signed with Rayo Vallecano in 2021. He became the top scorer of the national football team of Colombia. Falcao played for the world famous football clubs River Plate, FC Porto, Atlético de Madrid, AS Monaco, Manchester United, Chelsea and Galatasaray before he signed with Rayo Vallecano.
