Extra stadium info – Ice Palace
The construction of the Ice Palace started in 1998. Various world famous people performed at the arena. SKA, the second sports club from St. Petersburg with 100,000 followers on its main social media page, moved to the Ice Palace in 2005. The club was founded in 1946. In 2015, SKA won the Gagarin Cup for the first time in their history. They drew an average home attendance of 12,000 in that Kontinental Hockey League season. The Gagarin Cup is named after Yuri Gagarin, a former pilot and cosmonaut. He became the first human to journey into outer space.
