The construction of the venue started in 2019. On 11 June 2022, the stadium hosted its first-ever game for the national football team of Romania. The match between Romania and Finland ended in a 1-0 victory for the home side. 11,000 spectators showed up for the game. Three days later, Romania played their second match at the stadium named Superbet Arena – Giulești. Montenegro won the game, which attracted a crowd of 13,000.
