The construction of the stadium, which is named after a former Italian lawyer, started in 1922. On 27 May 1994, the venue hosted its first-ever match of the national football team of the Italian Republic. The home side won the match against Finland 2-0. 16,000 people attended the game. On 6 October 2001, the venue named Stadio comunale Ennio Tardini hosted its first-ever FIFA World Cup qualifier. The Italian Republic won the football match against Hungary 1-0. A crowd of 20,000 showed up for the match.

Parma Calcio

Parma Calcio use the stadium named Stadio comunale Ennio Tardini for home games. The club was founded in 1913 under a different name. Parma Calcio is among the first sports clubs from the Italian Republic, also known as Italy, with 100,000 followers on its main social media page. Several football legends played for the club. Parma Calcio won the Italian cup tournament in 1992 for the first time in their history. They won the title after defeating Juventus in a two-legged final. Buffon won the 2006 FIFA World Cup with the national football team of the Italian Republic after beating the French Republic. Gianluigi Buffon played hundreds of matches for the Italian football giants Juventus before he signed with the French football giants Paris Saint-Germain in 2018. In 2019, he returned to Juvenus Football Club. Buffon returned to Parma Calcio in 2021.
