The stadium named Nagyerdei Stadion is known as the home of Debreceni Vasutas Sport Club. On 22 May 2014, the stadium hosted its first game for the national football team of Hungary. The Hungarians drew 2-2 with Denmark in front of 20,000 spectators. In 1938, the national football team of Hungary reached the final of the FIFA World Cup for the first time in their history.
