The construction costs of the arena, which is also used for concerts, were €70 million. DEG use the indoor venue for home games. The club was founded in 1935. Brendan Frederick Shanahan, who was born in Canada in 1969, played for DEG. He scored 656 goals in the NHL, which became the most popular ice hockey league in the world.
