The stadium opened with a football match between FC Nantes and the Girondins de Bordeaux. Amiens Sporting Club was founded in 1901 under a different name. In August 2017, they played their first-ever French top-flight football league match. Amiens SC lost the game against Paris Saint-Germain. The next league season, Amiens SC drew an average home attendance of at least 10,000 for the first time in their history.
