The arena opened with a concert of the world famous artist who is commonly known as Lady Gaga. It became a venue for various events, like basketball, concerts, gymnastics, handball, ice hockey, swimming and volleyball. On 27 January 2019, the national handball team of Denmark won their first-ever world championship title at the venue named Jyske Bank Boxen. They won the title after beating Norway in a final. Mikkel Hansen, the first Danish handball player with 100,000 followers on his main social media page, played in the final.
