The construction of the venue, which was named Sinobo Stadium before it became the Fortuna Arena, started in 2006. Several world-famous artists performed at the stadium. Slavia Praha won the European football championship game 2-1. 15,000 fans attended the match, which took place at the Fortuna Arena. That football season, Slavia Praha finished below the Spanish side Sevilla FC and the English side Arsenal FC in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League.
