Extra stadium info – Prince Abdullah al-Faisal Stadium

The stadium became one of the largest sports venues by capacity in Saudi Arabia. Al-Ahli SFC and Al-Ittihad both played numerous home games at the venue. They became the most popular sports clubs from Jeddah. In 2004, Al-Ittihad became the first football club from Jeddah with an Asian championship title. In 2013, they signed the French football legend Karim Mostafa Benzema. He left the French side Olympique lyonnais in 2009. That year, Benzema signed with the world famous club Real Madrid. He won numerous trophies with the Spanish football giants.
