Seongnam FC use the Tancheon Stadium for home matches. The club was founded in 1989 under a different name. They were crowned Korean football champions various times. In 1993, Seongnam Football Club were crowned Korean football champions for the first time in their history. In 1995, they won the Asian football championship for clubs for the first time in their history. Seongnam FC won the title after beating the Saudi side Al-Nassr. In 2010, Seongnam Football Club won their second Asian championship title. The same year, they finished fourth place in their first-ever FIFA Club World Cup participation.
