Foolad Mobarakeh Sepahan Sport Club, the first sports club from Isfahan with 100,000 followers on its main social media page, use the stadium for home games. The club was founded in 1953. In 2003, they won the top-flight football league of Iran for the first time in their history. Sepahan gathered 52 points in 26 games during that league season. In 2007, they reached the final of the Asian championship for football clubs for the first time in their history. The same year, Sepahan reached the quarter-finals in their inaugural FIFA Club World Cup participation.
