The Zibo City Sports Centre Stadium was one of the 2010 AFC U-19 Championship venues. It hosted the opening game of the tournament. China won the opening game after beating Saudi Arabia 3-1. 31,000 spectators attended the match. The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, commonly known as North Korea, won the tournament after beating Australia 3-2.
