The arena is used for various events, like badminton, basketball, concerts, conferences, indoor American football and table tennis. In 2008, the venue hosted one of the major table tennis competitions. Ma Long was one of the winners. He became the second table tennis player with 1 million followers on his main social media page. Zhang Jike became the first one. Both Chinese table tennis players won gold medals at the Games of the Olympiad.
