Extra stadium info – MA Aziz Stadium
The MA Aziz Stadium opened with a cricket match. It hosted matches of the national football team of Bangladesh. In 2003, they won the tournament which is currently known as the SAFF Championship for the first time in their history. György Kottán, who was born in the city of Budapest in 1946, was the manager of the team during the tournament. He also managed the national football team of Pakistan. Mohamed Zahid Hasan Ameli, who was born in Pirojpur in 1987, became the most-capped player of the national football team of Bangladesh. He played various matches at the MA Aziz Stadium.
