Extra stadium info – Nakivubo War Memorial Stadium
The Nakivubo War Memorial Stadium was renovated several times. It became one of the venues used by the national football team of Uganda. In 1962, the national football team of Uganda made their debut in the African championship for national football teams. They finished fourth place after losing a third-place game against Tunisia. The national football team of Ethiopia were crowned African football champions in 1962.
