The construction of the Stade Charles Konan Banny de Yamoussoukro, which has an athletics track, started in 2018. It is named after a former Ivorian prime minister. The stadium opened with a match between the national football teams of the Côte d’Ivoire and Zambia. The Ivorian team won the game 3-1.
