The stadium was one of the Olympic Winter Games venues in 1988. The Calgary Colts, the Calgary Dinos and the Calgary Stampeders are the current tenants. The venue also hosted football games for the Calgary Boomers in 1981. They drew an average home attendance of 10,000 in that North American Soccer League season. The Edmonton Drillers, the Manic de Montréal, the Toronto Blizzard and the Vancouver Whitecaps were the other Canadian clubs in the NASL in 1981.
